The Past

The Present -   vacant

Beach Volleyball courts have replaced the 2nd green at Peregian and are very popular on Wednesday nights for team touraments.

At the begining of November 2012 Jeff Bampton from 'The Sand Pit Beach Volleyball' was asked to finish up using the Volleyball courts by the owner Pine Rivers Memorial Bowl Club management.

Jeff is currently trying to work out an extended period of use of the the courts with Pine Rivers, until it is decided who & what will be done with the site.

Media Release
Peregian land buy will benefit community
Noosa Council has signed a contract to buy the former Peregian Beach Bowls Club site.
Mayor Noel Playford says the acquisition is a win for the local community.
Current owner, Pine Rivers Memorial Bowls Club Inc, has accepted Council’s offer to buy the vacant 6500sqm Rufous Street property for $750,000.
“Council’s investment in this land represents a great outcome for the Peregian community, which has voiced concerns about the types of development previously proposed for the site,” Cr Playford said.
“Once the site transfers to Council we will work with the Peregian community to determine a use for the site that will provide the greatest benefit to the local area.”
