Council has recently provided highlights of the consultation findings from the data collected in their Community Survey on Peregian Beach Park conducted in July.
Attached is the newsletter sent out to 'stakeholder' .
'The reasons most commonly cited for visiting the park
were to attend the markets, access the beach, meet
friends and family, relax/enjoy the outdoors and/or to
attend the Peregian Originals.'
Based on the 12 possible improvements nominated by Council, the community rated improving the toilet amenities on top of the list.
The council's feedback to the local community does not expand on the 'other' option for the community to suggest improvements.
This newsletter does not provide detail about how the Park will be considered in context of the surrounding recreational facilities, including Di Hirst Oval, the Peregian Tennis Club, Peregian Bowls Club land and the Beach.
We hope the findings of the local economic & recreation forums and the character study undertaken by the Sunshine Coast University will be taken into consideration by Council and that the local community will be kept informed.
