Wireless Connection

Peregian Village Square has been connected with a simple wireless mesh network thanks to well accomplished local entrepeneur, Ben Duncan, who's company, @mail has it's Research & Development headquarters nestled in this beautiful place.

Ben has sponsored the setup and will help cover the monthly cost of the ADSL connection fee to the base station.

Locals & Tourists can hook up to 'Peregian Beach Free WiFi' while in & around the Square.

Seven days ago the ACCC regulated the prices that Telstra can charge competitors for ADSL. Telstra has been forced to drop its wholesale charges from $30 to $25.40 in metropolitan areas and from $37 to $30.80 in rural & regional Australia. It's worth challenging your internet service providers charges if they recently indicated they have to increase prices to 'regional' customers.
