Earlier this week I suggested to the local traders association that any funds that can be obtained from the land owners levy or Council should be focused firstly on the care & maintenance of the well loved village square lawn before being spent on permanent fairy lights in the street trees. This seemed a reasonable requested, as traders in the village are promoting an event to be held on the 'lawn' in the coming week.
The square would have been a dusk bowl by now if it wasn't for the Sprinkler Fairies!
Here is where the placemaking begins.
What is the local community's priorities...are the traders and the local communities vision the same, similar or very different?
I'll keep you posted when I find out.
